Wolf Alice announce new album and UK & Ireland tour

Wolf Alice have announced that their third album, Blue Weekend, is to be released on June 11th 2021 via Dirty Hit.

It has been said that Ellie Rowsell has evolved dramatically as a songwriter since Visions of a Life, and that there is a marked new maturity to her songs. Of Blue Weekend, Rowsell says, “If you were to strip these songs back, we were going more on feeling than on musical merit, It felt like ‘If we don’t capture that feeling of soul then we’ve not got it’ I think we felt that when you’re really focusing on feeling, or subject matter, or lyrics, you don’t want to get distracted by something too clever.” Rowsell and the band hope that this confidence will help to forge an even greater bond with their audiences as, “We don’t write specifically for one person. We just go based on what moves us, and hope that if it moves us, it moves someone else.”

Fans who pre-order any format or bundle of Blue Weekend before 5pm March 23rd 2021 will automatically receive a pre-sale code for tickets. Pre-sale will begin at 9am March 24th 2021 and general sale will be March 26th 2021.
