At 11:30pm 28/07/2020, Black Honey invited their fans to a Zoom party for the premiere of their latest single, 'Beaches' that premiered at midnight on Radio 1.
'Beaches' is a groovy, bluesy bop of a lead single that you'll find yourself unable to stop yourself dancing to. At exactly 3 minutes in length, it's the perfect burst of serotonin for the stolen summer and dare I say, Black Honey may have single-handedly saved it. There is a familiarity in 'Beaches' in the form of the bad bitch persona Izzy Bee Phillips embodies in her lyrics and the seductive tone to her voice but the more retro rock and roll sound is an exciting departure from previous Black Honey singles.
Sticking to their vintage Americana aesthetic, the video for 'Beaches' is a self-directed and edited visual treat. Featuring references to Wes Anderson and Quentin Tarantino and with guest appearances from Elvis Presley and Joe Exotic, Black Honey's response to their initial Martin Parr inspired Ibiza beach shoot being cancelled has something for everyone.
While some fans were lucky enough to get a sneak peak of the video, it launches to the public at 10am GMT on 29/07/2020 at the link included below with Black Honey confirming via Zoom that they will be around for the premiere to answer questions. If you can't wait until 10am, you can stream 'Beaches' now on Spotify.

Right down to the beach where we can have fun"
